Bees are more than honey producers—they’re heroes of the food system. Every time a bee visits a flower, it helps make food happen. And in Liberia, that makes them essential.

Pollination and Crops:
Over 70% of our food crops rely on pollinators like bees. From okra to oranges, beans to bananas—bees help them all grow. Without bees, farmers would face reduced harvests, rising prices, and lower food supply.

Threats to Bees:
Unfortunately, bee populations are under pressure. Deforestation, harmful pesticides, and climate change are all taking a toll. ABEL works with communities to protect wild bee habitats and promote chemical-free farming.

Beekeeping for Biodiversity:
Beekeeping not only helps the economy—it protects nature. A healthy hive encourages a healthy environment. ABEL trains farmers to recognize the link between pollinators and food security.

Saving bees means saving food. And in a country where agriculture feeds families, bees aren’t just insects—they’re allies. Let’s protect them together.
