Empowering Lives Through Sustainable Beekeeping
The Association of Beekeepers in Liberia (ABEL) is dedicated to promoting sustainable and modern beekeeping practices for income generation, environmental conservation, and economic empowerment. Through education, training, and market creation, we strive to enhance the livelihoods of beekeepers and farmers while ensuring the sustainable development of the beekeeping industry in Liberia and the sub-region.

The Association of Beekeepers–Liberia (ABEL) is a nonprofit, non-political organization established to promote sustainable beekeeping as a means of livelihood, food security, and environmental conservation. We bring together Liberian beekeepers—men, women, and youth—from all regions to share knowledge, receive training, access tools, and connect to markets. Founded by a passionate group of local beekeepers, ABL has grown into a national movement transforming communities through the power of bees. Our work strengthens the local honey industry while protecting vital pollinator populations across Liberia.
