Abel Liberia, in collaboration with UNFAO, successfully concluded a six-day Next Level Beekeeping Training at the Apiculture Research Training Center (ARTC) in Tubmanburg, Bomi County, held from June 28 to July 2, 2025. The program brought together representatives from Grand Gedeh and Lofa counties, specifically from the Konobo Authorized Community Forest in Grand Gedeh and the Salayea Authorized Community Forest in Lofa.

The advanced training provided participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in modern beekeeping techniques, hive management, honey harvesting, and beeswax processing. The sessions emphasized sustainable apiculture practices, colony health maintenance, and the economic potential of beekeeping as a viable livelihood for rural communities.

At the conclusion of the program, participants were certificated, recognizing their successful completion and readiness to apply their skills in their respective communities. This training not only enhanced their technical knowledge but also strengthened their capacity to promote sustainable beekeeping practices, improve environmental conservation, and generate income from apiculture.

The initiative, sponsored by UNFAO, reflects a strong commitment to empowering local communities through skills development, sustainable agriculture, and environmental stewardship, fostering a new generation of skilled beekeepers in Liberia.
