Abel Liberia successfully held a two-day introductory beekeeping training in Bollue III, Geetroh, Sinoe County, on June 21–22, 2025, aimed at equipping local farmers, youth, and community members with practical apiculture skills.
The training introduced participants to the fundamentals of beekeeping, including bee biology, hive management, honey and beeswax harvesting, and maintaining healthy colonies. Practical sessions allowed attendees to gain hands-on experience with modern beehives, learning best practices for sustainable and safe beekeeping.
Abel Liberia highlighted the importance of beekeeping for income generation, environmental sustainability, and food security, inspiring participants to explore apiculture as a viable livelihood. By the end of the program, participants were empowered with the knowledge and skills needed to start and manage their own beekeeping projects, contributing to the growth of the apiculture sector in Sinoe County.
